CAD to KML, KMZ, Shapefile & PDF Converter
Convert CAD drawings to map formats or PDF, with VN2000, WGS84 or custom EPSG, and SketchUp models to KML, KMZ, Shapefile or GLB.
Output formats
Opens straight in Google Earth, Google My Maps and map apps.
KMZA zipped KML in a single compact file, easy to send by email or Zalo.
SHPA Shapefile ZIP (points, lines, polygons) for QGIS, ArcGIS and other GIS software.
DXFTurn DWG into an open DXF that many CAD and GIS programs can read.
PDFVector PDF from A4 to A0 to publish online or print at the right scale, with CAD layers kept as PDF layers.
Which format should I choose? · DXF → KML · KMZ · SHP · PDF: DXF → KML · DXF → KMZ · DXF → SHP · DXF → PDF
SketchUp (2021+) → KML · KMZ · SHP · GLB
SketchUp 2021+ models on Google Earth, at the Add Location position.
KMZLike KML but zipped into one compact file for a SketchUp model.
SHPFaces become PolygonZ and loose edges PolyLineZ in a Shapefile ZIP for GIS.
GLBA standard glTF 3D model (metres, Y-up), with latitude, longitude and rotation.
Formats explained
DWG
AutoCAD's native binary drawing format, holding layers, lines, polylines and text.
DXF
An open CAD interchange format readable by most CAD and GIS software.
SKP
SketchUp's 3D model file. It holds faces, edges, layers (tags), materials, components and groups, but no coordinate system: a location exists only when the model was placed with Add Location (Google Earth) or set by hand in SketchUp.
KML
An XML file for geographic data, opened in Google Earth and many map apps.
KMZ
A zipped KML: smaller and easier to share.
Shapefile
A multi-file GIS vector format: .shp, .shx, .dbf plus .prj (CRS) and .cpg (encoding). One geometry type per file, so we output separate point, line and polygon files in a ZIP. DBF field names are limited to 10 characters; curves are converted to line segments.
GLB
The binary form of glTF 2.0, an open 3D model standard opened by glTF viewers, Blender, web 3D apps and game engines. It has no coordinate system: this file carries the placement (latitude, longitude, rotation) in its metadata.
A file to view and print a drawing on any device. Here it is a vector PDF on white paper, every CAD layer is a PDF layer you can switch on and off in Acrobat, Foxit or a browser; Vietnamese text looks right on any computer.
Supported geometries
- Lines and polygons (KML, KMZ, SHP); vector lines, hatches, text and CAD layers (PDF)
- Points: text and block insertion points, Shapefile only
- SketchUp: faces (with holes) and loose edges with Z heights; GLB is a 3D model
FAQ
What does DWG to All do?
Converts DWG and DXF drawings to KML, KMZ, Shapefile, DXF or PDF (vector, CAD layers kept), and SketchUp models (2021 or newer) to KML, KMZ, Shapefile or GLB.
DWG to PDF: online or print?
Online gives a compact, fast-opening file; print keeps the exact A4 to A0 page, line weights and a standard 1:N scale when the drawing units are known. Every CAD layer is a PDF layer you can toggle, and you can also get one PDF per layer.
Can I convert a SketchUp model?
Yes: .skp files from SketchUp 2021 or newer, one at a time, to KML, KMZ, Shapefile or GLB; the location comes from Add Location or from the latitude and longitude you enter.
Can I batch convert?
Yes, upload a ZIP of up to 20 DWG/DXF drawings.
How long are files kept?
Files are deleted automatically after 7 days.
Size limit?
Up to 100 MB per upload.
Which coordinate systems?
VN2000 (by province or central meridian), WGS84 and custom EPSG codes.
